THAT Girl Seminar Recap

THAT Girl Seminar Recap

Wow...that's all I have. I hosted a seminar in my hometown and had 124 women to show up and show out! There were young ladies and women ages 12-74 and we had a TIME! Seats were first come, first serve and when the doors opened, they came rolling in. Women brought themselves, their daughters, sisters, moms, nieces, aunts, and besties!

The seminar was titled "THAT Girl Seminar: Self-Esteem and Wardrobe 101 Personal Development." To me, being "THAT GIRL" isn't about garnering attention, it's about showing up and standing in your power as your authentic self. We believe showing up as your authentic self starts from the inside and is reflected through your self-esteem and wardrobe. So with these ladies, we worked from the inside out!

My mission is to provide a safe space for individuals to discover and cultivate their image through wardrobe and styling services. My solution to closet pains is to provide you with a fashion formula, FLA, that will teach you to style yourself based on items you own or wish to purchase and based upon your body shape, lifestyles, and personality. Although no two bodies are the same, our inclusive formula can be used by all.

The first guest speaker was Imani Nathaniel, a California-born but Memphis raised professional makeup artist and influencer who provided us with some everyday makeup tips and amazing product recommendations.

The second guest speaker was Bridgette Kinkle who is a Panola County native and mental health advocate who has over 12 years of social work experience. She is also the founder of SHINE-Sis, Healing Is Never Ending. She chatted with us about the importance of self-esteem and literally had the room in tears.

I was the keynote speaker and decided to share my comprehensive approach to elevating your life through style, working from the inside out; building on top of the foundation. My signature method is combining style with personal development, bridging personal styling and life coaching through my background in education to teach others how to curate a closet and look that supports one’s goals and takes the stress and self-doubt out of looking one’s best. I'm aiming to reach clients globally through my lifestyle brand, seminars, and leaning on my own journey of self-discovery through fashion.

This event also served as a soft launch for Magnolia Blvd Merchandise which will included our Signature Brand Shirt, THAT Girl Shirt, and Signature candles!

We had a blast and even got talked about in the local paper, the Panolian.

I received so much positive feedback about the entire event through the survey and I cannot WAIT to do it again.
